Thursday
How typical of me. So I go with the flow, see the opportunities and take the train to the end of the line. I spend the afternoon hanging around the Hook of Holland (Hoek van Holland), waiting to catch the overnight ferry to Harwich, then on to London.
Hoek van Holland encompasses a large straight shipping channel, banked on one side by a series of wind turbines. I went for a walk along the shoreline to pass the time. Saw some surfing kooks struggle in the current. Felt the awesome power of the sea. Nearly got all my bags wet as I was walking with them along this awesomely powerful sea.
The overnight ferry was pleasant although AALL, I felt more comfortable with the Dutch language coming over the PA than the foreign UK accent.
I arrived in the UK in the early hours of the morning.
